SEMINOLE, FL—The 4th Annual Loving Care Pet Fair returns to the Treasure Island Fun Center, 7770 Seminole Blvd., on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m., to remind “Pet Adoption is the Best Option.
This year’s fair includes the Seminole Chamber of Commerce PEToberfest and YAPPY HOUR, a pet- and people-friendly social featuring beverages and snacks.
Up to 30 pet rescue and adoption organizations and dozens of vendors will offer products and services for pets and their caregivers.
“We want to educate the public about proper pet care, aid in the adoption of great pets to ‘forever’ homes, and raise needed funds for Husky Haven, Pet Pal, and PAWS Rescue,” says Pet Fair organizer Nancy Barry, of Leash on Life Pet & People Services.
The public can “meet and greet” adoptable pets from rescue and shelter groups throughout the Tampa Bay area. Sociable pets that are leashed or contained are welcome to join their human companions to see how possible pet interactions will work. And it’s not only about dogs and cats.
“Birds, snakes, lizards, turtles, fish, pigs—any feathered, furred, finned, scaled, or shelled beast that needs a home can be represented here,” assures Barry.
K-9 and Mounted Police demonstrations, music, drawings, and refreshments — including beer and wine — will fill the grounds. There will be a Doggy Runway and Parade of the Breeds, as well as awards presented to the booths with the most intriguing PEToberfest or Halloween themes. Entertainer Beth Marshall returns to donate her talents with music and song for her fourth straight year.
Vendors can reserve space to display and demonstrate pet-centered products and services, as well as wares and workmanship for the humans in the household, from tax preparation to jewelry sales, green home products, mold removal, hairstyling, skin care, and more.
